Templates take a static web page and make the web page editable by the end user. Templates contain editable content known as 'Entities'

The Name Assigned to a template
Description
Used to identify the template You can leave this blank if you want to
Category
You must assign a category Note if you only have one category the default category will apply automatically
Template File Name
The template file you are uploading from your local computer Use browse to locate the file on your computer

You should not upload templates to the templates folder using FTP as the Linux owner and group names are different using FTP from uploading using Fastpage - this will result in permission problems later on if you attempt to upload a template file using Fastpage which has been preciously uploaded by FTP. ALWAYS UPLOAD TEMPLATES USING FASTPAGE
You can delete templates but if there are templates attached you will be asked if you want to delete all the templates attached
The first template you should ADD is your main HOME PAGE to be assigned the template ID of 1 (note there is a configuration file where you can set the home page template ID) - click here
