Advanced Menu List's

You will notice an Option called Dropdown Restriction - this allows you to create a hierarchical structure where the levels are controlled by the previous selection.
Example:-
In the diagram above there are four user defined fields for a demo real estate firm where the the suburbs are related the the zone selected. The zone is related to the City selected and the City is related to the Region selected.

Dropdown Restriction

Click on the dropdown restriction option

You will be asked what field you want the dropdown restricted to.
In this example the field city is restricted to the field region.

When you click on the Dropdown Option you will notice you can now restrict the dropdown items to the level above.
You can have as many levels as you like to achieve your relational structure.

Adding a New Menu

What happens now when you add a new Menu Item the integrity of data will be in accordance with the relational structure set up.

When you first add a new Menu Item the Dropdowns will display when the correct dropdown data has been selected.

As you drill down the correct data will be loaded for the next level
You can at any point change a level above and the correct data will be loaded.
Once you establish the correct structure the next time during that session the previous structure established will be loaded to speed data entry.

Search

With the advanced features you can format your own search criteria.

The same integrity applies and will help clients find information easily.

NOTE:-
The search criteria is applied automatically when you are maintaing Menu items to help you drill down and find information easily even if you don't select the advanced Menu Options.
